Community Services
DK Advocates is committed to providing wraparound services for our members. DKA is currently partnered with Skillsoft, a nationally recognized leader in digital learning, which offers hundreds of online courses in key content areas. Access to the Skillsoft learning library is $1,000 per user, and through DKA’s partnership with Skillport, we are able to offer each customer access to Skillsoft for their duration of utilizing the One-Stop Center, or enrollment in a referred program, at no charge.
Skillsoft offers a plethora of courses on communication skills, business/leadership skills, and even Microsoft or alike applications. Many of DKA’s current clients have utilized Skillsoft hours to provide proof of experience on their resume when a member does not have any actual paid work experience.
Certiport Exam - certification exam to demonstrate proficiency or mastery in a subject area, provides a competitive employment advantage, and is accepted by some institutions for college credit. Currently, we provide these certifications in:
Apple - a robust and intuitive programming language created by Apple that is easy to learn, simple to use, and super powerful. Which makes it great for getting started with code. It is also one of the fastest-growing, most popular open-source programming languages used by professional developers. In fact, some of the world’s most popular apps are built in Swift. EC Council Associate- the world’s largest cybersecurity technical certification body. EC-Council has certified over 200,000 information security professionals globally that have influenced the cybersecurity mindset of countless organizations worldwide. In association with Certiport, DK Advocates has partnered with EC-Council to offer two cybersecurity certifications covering a "Red Team", offensive, and "Blue Team", defensive, approaches. Ethical Hacking Associate (E|HA) and Cyber Forensics Associate (C|FA) will allow students to get started in the exciting, yet critical, the world of cybersecurity. These certifications validate entry-level knowledge in these areas and prepare individuals for advance, professional EC-Council certifications to continue learning the latest practices when preventing and addressing cybersecurity. In addition to the new EC-Council Associate certifications, DK Advocates offers the official EC-Council curriculum that aligns to the exams and practice tests to easily incorporate EC-Council certifications into CTE cybersecurity and information security courses.
